A new local Radio Station, Mearns FM, has been granted us a license to broadcast in the Mearns and is currently inviting local organisations to start recording content, in preparation for going live.

Convener Ian Hunter reports;  "we are particularly interested in Spoken Word recordings just now.  To broadcast copyright music not only means PPL and PRS licensing, but also royalties. The cost is not huge, but depends on the number of listeners so can be hard to gauge. For say an hour long programme, would you be able to raise £30 from a local business wanting to sponsor your broadcast?  Any of the office bearers will be happy to discuss ideas, technical issues or funding with you.  Please call".

If you are interested in being involved with us in assisting this Radio Station, we may be able to broadcast recordings of sermons and other Christian content. This could be done from a distance, so it doesn't matter where you live! Please contact Donald through the enquiries link above.
