Angus and Mearns Free Church Outreach
Welcome

The Free Church has been undertaking Christian outreach work in the Mearns area, mid way between Aberdeen and Dundee, over the past seven years. This has, at various times, involved holding worship services, evangelism and home Bible studies.

This website offers up to date information on developments here, as well as giving the ability to hear streams of sermons preached in the local area. We hope that you will enjoy and be challenged by these.

A contact email address is provided below for enquiries via this website. Bryan Kee, recently appointed as Pastoral Assistant at St Peters Free Church Dundee, is leading the work here and can be contacted via St Peters at Tel +44 (0)1382 807004.

Thank you,

Donald & Cathy Gillies.

2 February 2010 - All change!

After six months of Bryan assessing the work here, the Dundee Elders have decided to discontinue all worship services at this time and give him the ability to branch out in a new direction. This will involve a more modern approach, for a post-modern age. Bryan will be involved in the building of Christian community and working with other Christian groups in evangelism opportunities here in Angus & The Mearns. We will report more on developments soon.

Moderators Address - The Exciting Church.

A noteworthy piece from David Meredith's clairion call to our church yesterday;

The Free Church however was not just born in controversy. It was also born in spiritual renewal. .. revival being born..in 1846 at Johnshaven, a favored location for Free Church camps today, Andrew Bonar recalls “I spent three hours speaking with anxious souls in private … there are about thirty very deeply convicted of sin and many more under the Spirit’s strivings. Dr Brewster’s female teacher has been remarkably useful.’

Why not now?

Donald.
